Member: Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement

The bond between you and your pet is as valuable as any of your human relationships. Many, however, do not appreciate the importance of this special connection.

The process of grieving for an animal companion is no different than mourning the death of a human being. The difference lies in the value placed on your pet by your family and by society as a whole.

If you view your animal companion as a family member, you will experience the same intense feelings associated with the death of a relative when your companion’s time comes.

Your pain is REAL. To deny it dishonors the magnitude of your bond and invites poor health. I can help you through this very important process with understanding and care.

Services:

  • Group Support meetings for those who have lost their companion animals
  • Individual Counseling for those experiencing great difficulties with the pet bereavement process
  • Education of veterinarians, therapists, and other professionals about the legitimacy of pet bereavement
